Medication, thoughtfully considered
If medication makes sense for you, we discuss possible benefits, side effects, and your preferences. Follow-up gives us time to check how you are feeling and adjust the plan when needed.
Understanding the experience
You might feel low, numb, or disconnected. Things that once mattered may take more effort, even when you are still showing up for work, relationships, and the rest of your life.
These examples are a starting point for conversation, not a way to diagnose yourself.
Activities or connections that used to feel rewarding no longer feel the same.
Sleep, motivation, concentration, or everyday decisions feel harder to manage.
Sadness, irritability, guilt, or a sense of emptiness keeps returning.
Care with Jeffrey
We talk about when things changed, how they affect your day, and what you have tried. Your sleep, physical health, medications, and any periods of unusually elevated mood or energy also matter. Sometimes additional medical evaluation helps clarify the picture.
How we approach careYour first step
Meet online from a private space in New York. Bring your questions, a medication list, and any treatment history you would like to discuss.
Care is for adults 18 and older. We will discuss whether your needs fit this practice and when another type or level of care would be more appropriate.
What to expect at your first visitA few things you may be wondering
No. You can come with questions, symptoms, or a diagnosis you already have. The evaluation helps us understand your experience and discuss whether this practice is a good fit.
No. Psychotherapy, medication, or a combination may be appropriate. The conversation includes your preferences, history, and the severity of your symptoms; an appointment does not guarantee a prescription.
Bring what you remember about previous therapy and medications, including what helped and what was difficult. That experience is useful context for the next conversation.
Many people can receive outpatient care through telehealth. Your needs, safety, and location are considered individually. If you need in-person or more intensive care, we will discuss that rather than assuming online care is the right setting.
