The person behind the practice

Your story. Your goals.
Our starting point.

I’m Jeffrey Panko, an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in New York. I completed my graduate education at Stony Brook University’s School of Nursing and bring more than twelve years of psychiatric nursing experience to my work with adults.

I’ve experienced depression and anxiety, and I live with ADHD. That personal experience helps me understand what it’s like to struggle and to need support. It shapes how I listen and approach care, alongside my clinical training. First, we need to understand your history, the challenges you’re facing, and what feeling better would look like in your daily life. Together, we shape a plan around your needs, preferences, and goals.

My approach combines medication management and psychotherapy when appropriate, with practical support and open, down-to-earth conversation. I welcome adults of all genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and life experiences through telehealth.

My goal is for you to leave each visit feeling heard and educated, with a sense of clarity and optimism regarding your next steps.

A focus of the practice

Adult ADHD.
Putting your life back in focus.

ADHD is my favorite area of psychiatry to treat, both because I understand it personally and because treatment can make such a meaningful difference. I provide ADHD assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing medication management for adults.

With an effective stimulant medication, some people notice benefits on the first day. Finding the right treatment and dose can take time, but seeing someone begin to feel more focused and better able to manage their day is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. Whether you’re exploring ADHD treatment for the first time or seeking ongoing care, I start by listening to your history, answering your questions, hearing what you want help with, and then getting those goals set in motion.
